Your name & job title:
My name is Alice and I work as Food & Beverage Assistant. I greet customers coming to our restaurant, take their orders and answer their questions about menu items and dietary requirements. I also help with the safe preparation, handling and serving of food in compliance with our policies and procedures.
Which venue do you work for?
Milton Hill House Hotel located in Abingdon near Oxfordshire. It’s a graceful Georgian manor house but with all the modern amenities.
How long have you worked here?
What is the best thing about working for The Venues Collection?
The sense of family between all the staff.
What is your favourite event type?
Weddings! I love seeing the faces of brides, grooms and the wedding party when they see the venue all set up for the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
What is your favourite room at your venue and why?
The Wisteria Room at Milton Hill House Hotel – I love all the different and creative ways it can be decorated for different events.
How do you feel about the COVID secure changes now in place at the venues?
I feel very comfortable working and serving customers due to the well thought out changes that have taken place.
If customers are worried about visiting a Venues Collection Venue, due to COVID-19, what would you say to reassure them?
Not to worry – all the staff have had extensive and thorough training and we will do all we can to help keep guests safe during their time with us.
